Attract More Readers to Your Blog Posts Using Great Headlines

No one reads a story that doesn’t connect with them.

Never underestimate the power of a great headline.

Let’s say you’ve written a great blog post, and you’ve posted it. Every hour you check your analytics. You see little results.

When you check the next day, your blog post has barely thirty views.

You get nervous. You try posting another article, this time improving your headline.

It did the trick! Now you’ve got some more readers!

It doesn’t always happen, but I’ll show you how to make it happen.

Great Headlines Attract Bigger Audiences

The magic ingredient to getting readers is a great headline. Your content must still be well-written, concise, and engaging. You can’t say something in your headline then write something else in your article.

Don’t lie to get more readers. Empty clickbait articles are the worst. They offer false benefits and are often empty

It’s the first point of contact they get with your work. If it doesn’t grab attention in five seconds, then they won’t read your post.

What Does A Great Headline Do?

🔵It gives your reader the gist of the article.

🔵 It is engaging and sparks your reader’s interest.

🔵It is honest and contains benefits for the reader.

🔵Is neither short nor long(60–80 characters can do the trick.)

🔵Can connect emotionally to your reader.

Tips To Writing Better Headlines

🔵Use Active Voice. Using the active voice makes it easier for your readers to understand your headline.

Active Voice: “32 Reasons You Should Never Sleep Alone!”

🔵Promise Your Reader A Solution To A Problem. Address an issue and offer a solution to that issue.

🔵Be Specific. Stick to the main point of your post. What should your readers expect from your blog post?

🔵Be Bold. Write your headline in a way that immediately grabs your readers’ attention.

🔵Practice: Writing headlines takes effort to master. Write at least five headlines per post. You can also use the CoSchedule Headline Analyzer as an additional tool for writing great headlines. It analyzes and reports on how good your headline is.
